These classes are based on the book Tanya authored by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi - The Alter Rebbe, the first Chabad Rebbe. (1745-1812). The text we are using is "Lessons in Tanya". For you convenience the information is listed below if you choose to purchase the book and follow along.
In this first episode, Rabbi Krasnianski gives a brief introduction and then begins with the Title Page of Likutei Amorim, the first of the five books of the Tanya. The true depth and brilliance of the Tanya becomes accessible with each unfolding episode, teaching each individual how to personally navigate their Body/Soul connection and journey.
Rabbi Ben Tzion Krasnianski is director of Chabad Upper East Side of Manhattan. These classes were taught live at Chabad UES.
