Bio: Dr. Reinhartz is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice with LECOM School of Pharmacy in Bradenton, FL, and has been notably awarded the honors of Professor of the Year and Preceptor of the Year in this role. She has served in clinical roles as a Pharmacist-In-Charge for Target Corporation and within the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County. In 2016, Dr. Reinhartz established a Practice Site within Emergency Medical Services, and is the Consultant Pharmacist for the Manatee County Community Paramedicine Program. Within this role, Dr. Reinhartz and her pharmacy students resolve medication issues or disease factors which are contributing to frequent 911 use, ER visits, or hospitalization.
For her work in EMS, Dr. Reinhartz has been recognized with a Chief’s Commendation Award and a Congressional EMS Unit Citation Award for exceptional care provision and leadership within EMS. Dr. Reinhartz has garnered national attention from the United States Public Health Service for innovation within EMS and Community Paramedicine. Most recently, she was named the 2020 Next Generation Pharmacist Civic Leader, which is awarded to one pharmacist nationwide whose vision for interprofessional care best spotlights the needs of underserved communities. She is a self-proclaimed advocate of Mobile Integrated Health, Community Paramedicine, and EMS.
