"Let's reshape the world of data, digital services and big-tech." The final words of a conversation with the Dutch politician Paul Tang – A Member of the European Parliament for the Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA). We talked about the Digital Services Act, a legislative proposal he worked on to fight centralised market power and enforce transparency on the use of data and algorithms. Pauls mission is to break-up big-tech by attacking their business model: personalised advertising.
