1: Perspective: The Foundation for Business Success without Stress
Do you ever ask yourself why bad things happen? In the moment do you ever wish you didn’t exist? When life is turned upside down it is easy to whine and bewail that the world is against us. Why is business so hard? Why can't I get a break?
However, what if we could back and see how that one event greatly benefited our life down the road?
What if we could truly look at every situation, good and bad, and see that they are just lessons learned to make us better people to help us be successful.
Today we are going to dive into what it means to see life from God’s perspective. They say hindsight is 20/20. But what if you could get that 20/20 vision today. I think you can, and it will change your life.
In this episode we discuss:
Perspective – Seeing life from a specific point of view. Mindset is how you think. Perspective is how you see. Remember the Train Illustration of perspective and seeing life from God’s vantagepoint.
1. God’s perspective is more accurate than our perspective
2. God’s perspective, your business exists because of God—Psalm 127:1
3. To see God’s perspective, you need God’s glasses
Story of how I was fired from my job but it turned out to be a life changing event for which I will forever be grateful. God is good, always.
My Paradigm Shift: I cannot call anything bad, because I do not know how God will use it.
Prescription for God’s Glasses
1. Simple prayer: “Thank you for (situation or event). You have brought this into my life for your purpose, help me to learn what you want to teach me from (situation or event).”
2. Get to know God better
3. Trust God. He knows better than you do
- God loves you—Wants what is best for you more than you do
- God is all knowing—Knows what is best for you more than you do
- God is all powerful—Will enable you to endure whatever comes your way
