1 Samuel 17 contains the well-known event of David defeating Goliath. Far from being a mere inspirational underdog story, however, it’s an event that is all about God’s honour and what he will do to defend it. In this sermon we consider what it is to dishonour God, the effect it has on us, and what God does about it.
