David dijo en su corazón: “Ahora bien, algún día voy a perecer por la mano de Saúl. Nada será mejor para mí que escapar de inmediato a la tierra de los filisteos, para que Saúl deje de ocuparse de mí y no me ande buscando por todo el territorio de Israel. Así escaparé de su mano”. Se levantó pues David y se pasó, con los seiscientos hombres que estaban con él, a Aquis hijo de Maoc, rey de Gat. David habitó con Aquis en Gat, él y sus hombres, cada uno con su familia, y David con sus dos mujeres: Ajinoam, de Jezreel, y Abigaíl, que fuera mujer de Nabal, de Carmel. A Saúl le llegó la noticia de que David había huido a Gat, y no lo buscó más. Entonces David dijo a Aquis: —Si he hallado ahora gracia ante tus ojos, por favor, que se me dé un lugar en alguna de las ciudades en el campo, para que habite allí. ¿Por qué ha de habitar tu siervo contigo en la ciudad real? Aquel día Aquis le dio la ciudad de Siclag. Por esto Siclag pertenece a los reyes de Judá, hasta el día de hoy. Y el tiempo que David habitó en la tierra de los filisteos fue de un año y cuatro meses. David subía con sus hombres, y hacían incursiones contra los de Gesur, los de Gezer y los de Amalec; pues desde antaño estos habitaban en aquella tierra, desde las inmediaciones de Shur hasta la tierra de Egipto.

En el capítulo anterior vimos a un David admirable, que fue puesto a prueba por segunda vez y confirmó que tenía bien firme sus principios y valores, y vio cómo Dios lo glorificó en frente de todo el ejército de David y delante de su adversario Saúl. El mismo Saúl, en aquella ocasión, reconoció a David como el futuro rey de Israel.
Pero David se desesperó y tomó una decisión equivocada basada en ese momento de frustración, de agotamiento, de ansiedad al pensar que Saúl no desistiría en seguir buscándolo y entró en David el temor de que, algún día, Saúl lo iba a encontrar y matarlo.
David vio el panorama sombrío. Se cansó de vivir bajo continua persecución y quiso arreglar la situación a su manera. Notemos que la Biblia no dice que Dios le dijo que se fuera a refugiar con los filisteos. La última vez que lo hizo le fue mal, pero David estaba tan desesperado que una vez más se arriesgó e hizo un trato de fidelidad con el rey de los filisteos. Ahora que David tenía un buen grupo de soldados a su cargo, ofreció sus servicios militares y fue acogido con alegría por el rey de los enemigos de Israel.
Lo que no sabía David es que esto le iba a traer problemas más adelante y, además, la muerte de Saúl se estaba acercando. Pero es que cuando uno se encuentra bajo una constante presión y se deja llevar por las frustraciones y pierde el enfoque en el propósito al cual Dios lo llamó, toma decisiones que van a costar muchas pérdidas y causar muchos dolores.
Si te encuentras en una situación de mucha presión por un conflicto en el hogar, no vayas a tomar una decisión que después te vas a arrepentir. Aunque el panorama se vea oscuro y pienses que todo está acabado, que no ves ninguna solución a los problemas como tu matrimonio, es mejor esperar y no caer en la trampa de desahogarse de forma nociva, atacando a tu pareja o haciendo cosas para herirle, vengarte y explotando, dañándose ambos sus corazones, sentimientos y hasta sus almas. Muchos hacen cosas inmorales que desagradan a Dios, y hasta ilegales. En esos momentos es difícil poder concentrarse y mantener la calma, pero, si pones toda tu confianza en el Señor, Dios te revelará el camino a seguir.
Si hay un problema marital, con algún hijo o en el trabajo, es mejor honrar a Dios y confiar en su promesa de que siempre nos guiará, que si nos mantenemos firmes y constantes, la respuesta llegará al final, como dijo el apóstol Pablo en 1 Corintios 10:13: “...Dios es fiel y no permitirá que ustedes sean puestos a prueba más allá de sus propias fuerzas; al contrario, junto con la prueba les proporcionará también la manera de superarla con éxito." (BLPH).
El profeta Isaías nos describe en Isaías 43:2 una de las promesas del Señor: “Cuando pases por las aguas, yo estaré contigo; cuando cruces los ríos, no te anegarán. Cuando pases por el fuego, no te quemarás, ni las llamas arderán en ti." (RVC).
Esta es una de las frases que Dios dijo a muchos hombres y mujeres de Dios que se encontraban en momentos cruciales en sus vidas y también te las dice a ti hoy: "Yo estaré contigo".

So I shall escape out of his hand.” Then David arose and went over with the six hundred men who were with him to Achish the son of Maoch, king of Gath. So David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, each man with his household, and David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal’s widow. And it was told Saul that David had fled to Gath; so he sought him no more. Then David said to Achish, “If I have now found favor in your eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?” So Achish gave him Ziklag that day. Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day. Now the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was one full year and four months. And David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. For those nations were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as you go to Shur, even as far as the land of Egypt.

In the previous chapter we saw an admirable David, who was put to the test for the second time and confirmed that he had his principles and values firm, and saw how God glorified him in front of the entire army of David and in front of his adversary Saul. Saul himself, on that occasion, recognized David as the future king of Israel.
But David despaired and made a wrong decision based on that moment of frustration, exhaustion, anxiety at the thought that Saul would not give up on continuing to pursue him, and David feared that one day Saul was going to find him and kill him.
David saw the bleak outlook. He got tired of living under continuous persecution and wanted to fix the situation in his own way. Notice that the Bible does not say that God told him to take refuge with the Philistines. The last time he did it, it went badly for him, but David was so desperate that once again he took a chance and made a fidelity bargain with the king of the Philistines. Now that David had a good group of soldiers under his command, he offered his military services and was joyfully welcomed by the enemy king of Israel.
What David did not know is that this was going to bring him problems later and, furthermore, Saul's death was getting closer. But it is that when one is under constant pressure and is carried away by frustrations and loses focus on the purpose to which God called him, he makes decisions that will cost many losses and cause much pain.
If you find yourself in a situation of high pressure due to a conflict at home, do not go to make a decision that you will later regret. Even if the outlook looks dark and you think that everything is over, that you don't see any solution to problems like your marriage, it is better to wait and not fall into the trap of venting in a harmful way, attacking your partner or doing things to hurt him or her, revenging and exploding, damaging both their hearts, feelings and even their souls. Many do immoral things that are displeasing to God, and even illegal. In those moments it is difficult to concentrate and remain calm, but if you put all your trust in the Lord, God will reveal the way to go.
If there is a marital problem, with a child or at work, it is better to honor God and trust in His promise that He will always guide us, than if we remain firm and constant, the answer will come at the end, as the apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
The prophet Isaiah describes for us in Isaiah 43:2 one of the promises of the Lord: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
This is one of the phrases that God said to many men and women of God who were at crucial moments in their lives and also tells you today: "I will be with you".

The prophet Isaiah describes for us in Isaiah 43:2 one of the promises of the Lord: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
This is one of the phrases that God said to many men and women of God who were at crucial moments in their lives and also tells you today: "I will be with you".

1 Samuel 27: Cuidado con las decisiones basadas en la frustración.
1 Samuel 27:1-8 RVA2015:
David dijo en su corazón: “Ahora bien, algún día voy a perecer por la mano de Saúl. Nada será mejor para mí que escapar de inmediato a la tierra de los filisteos, para que Saúl deje de ocuparse de mí y no me ande buscando por todo el territorio de Israel. Así escaparé de su mano”. Se levantó pues David y se pasó, con los seiscientos hombres que estaban con él, a Aquis hijo de Maoc, rey de Gat. David habitó con Aquis en Gat, él y sus hombres, cada uno con su familia, y David con sus dos mujeres: Ajinoam, de Jezreel, y Abigaíl, que fuera mujer de Nabal, de Carmel. A Saúl le llegó la noticia de que David había huido a Gat, y no lo buscó más. Entonces David dijo a Aquis: —Si he hallado ahora gracia ante tus ojos, por favor, que se me dé un lugar en alguna de las ciudades en el campo, para que habite allí. ¿Por qué ha de habitar tu siervo contigo en la ciudad real? Aquel día Aquis le dio la ciudad de Siclag. Por esto Siclag pertenece a los reyes de Judá, hasta el día de hoy. Y el tiempo que David habitó en la tierra de los filisteos fue de un año y cuatro meses. David subía con sus hombres, y hacían incursiones contra los de Gesur, los de Gezer y los de Amalec; pues desde antaño estos habitaban en aquella tierra, desde las inmediaciones de Shur hasta la tierra de Egipto.

En el capítulo anterior vimos a un David admirable, que fue puesto a prueba por segunda vez y confirmó que tenía bien firme sus principios y valores, y vio cómo Dios lo glorificó en frente de todo el ejército de David y delante de su adversario Saúl. El mismo Saúl, en aquella ocasión, reconoció a David como el futuro rey de Israel.
Pero David se desesperó y tomó una decisión equivocada basada en ese momento de frustración, de agotamiento, de ansiedad al pensar que Saúl no desistiría en seguir buscándolo y entró en David el temor de que, algún día, Saúl lo iba a encontrar y matarlo.
David vio el panorama sombrío. Se cansó de vivir bajo continua persecución y quiso arreglar la situación a su manera. Notemos que la Biblia no dice que Dios le dijo que se fuera a refugiar con los filisteos. La última vez que lo hizo le fue mal, pero David estaba tan desesperado que una vez más se arriesgó e hizo un trato de fidelidad con el rey de los filisteos. Ahora que David tenía un buen grupo de soldados a su cargo, ofreció sus servicios militares y fue acogido con alegría por el rey de los enemigos de Israel.
Lo que no sabía David es que esto le iba a traer problemas más adelante y, además, la muerte de Saúl se estaba acercando. Pero es que cuando uno se encuentra bajo una constante presión y se deja llevar por las frustraciones y pierde el enfoque en el propósito al cual Dios lo llamó, toma decisiones que van a costar muchas pérdidas y causar muchos dolores.
Si te encuentras en una situación de mucha presión por un conflicto en el hogar, no vayas a tomar una decisión que después te vas a arrepentir. Aunque el panorama se vea oscuro y pienses que todo está acabado, que no ves ninguna solución a los problemas como tu matrimonio, es mejor esperar y no caer en la trampa de desahogarse de forma nociva, atacando a tu pareja o haciendo cosas para herirle, vengarte y explotando, dañándose ambos sus corazones, sentimientos y hasta sus almas. Muchos hacen cosas inmorales que desagradan a Dios, y hasta ilegales. En esos momentos es difícil poder concentrarse y mantener la calma, pero, si pones toda tu confianza en el Señor, Dios te revelará el camino a seguir.
Si hay un problema marital, con algún hijo o en el trabajo, es mejor honrar a Dios y confiar en su promesa de que siempre nos guiará, que si nos mantenemos firmes y constantes, la respuesta llegará al final, como dijo el apóstol Pablo en 1 Corintios 10:13: “...Dios es fiel y no permitirá que ustedes sean puestos a prueba más allá de sus propias fuerzas; al contrario, junto con la prueba les proporcionará también la manera de superarla con éxito." (BLPH).

Esta es una de las frases que Dios dijo a muchos hombres y mujeres de Dios que se encontraban en momentos cruciales en sus vidas y también te las dice a ti hoy: "Yo estaré contigo".

1 Samuel 27:1-8:
And David said in his heart, “Now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape to the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me anymore in any part of Israel. So I shall escape out of his hand.” Then David arose and went over with the six hundred men who were with him to Achish the son of Maoch, king of Gath. So David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, each man with his household, and David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal’s widow. And it was told Saul that David had fled to Gath; so he sought him no more. Then David said to Achish, “If I have now found favor in your eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?” So Achish gave him Ziklag that day. Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day. Now the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was one full year and four months. And David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. For those nations were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as you go to Shur, even as far as the land of Egypt.

In the previous chapter we saw an admirable David, who was put to the test for the second time and confirmed that he had his principles and values firm, and saw how God glorified him in front of the entire army of David and in front of his adversary Saul. Saul himself, on that occasion, recognized David as the future king of Israel.
But David despaired and made a wrong decision based on that moment of frustration, exhaustion, anxiety at the thought that Saul would not give up on continuing to pursue him, and David feared that one day Saul was going to find him and kill him.
David saw the bleak outlook. He got tired of living under continuous persecution and wanted to fix the situation in his own way. Notice that the Bible does not say that God told him to take refuge with the Philistines. The last time he did it, it went badly for him, but David was so desperate that once again he took a chance and made a fidelity bargain with the king of the Philistines. Now that David had a good group of soldiers under his command, he offered his military services and was joyfully welcomed by the enemy king of Israel.
What David did not know is that this was going to bring him problems later and, furthermore, Saul's death was getting closer. But it is that when one is under constant pressure and is carried away by frustrations and loses focus on the purpose to which God called him, he makes decisions that will cost many losses and cause much pain.
If you find yourself in a situation of high pressure due to a conflict at home, do not go to make a decision that you will later regret. Even if the outlook looks dark and you think that everything is over, that you don't see any solution to problems like your marriage, it is better to wait and not fall into the trap of venting in a harmful way, attacking your partner or doing things to hurt him or her, revenging and exploding, damaging both their hearts, feelings and even their souls. Many do immoral things that are displeasing to God, and even illegal. In those moments it is difficult to concentrate and remain calm, but if you put all your trust in the Lord, God will reveal the way to go.
If there is a marital problem, with a child or at work, it is better to honor God and trust in His promise that He will always guide us, than if we remain firm and constant, the answer will come at the end, as the apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
