At the beginning of 1 Samuel, God’s people were in a sorry state. Yet there was hope and it centred on a man named Samuel. For the last few chapters, Samuel had been absent. But in chapter 7 he shows up. What does he do when he shows up? How will God restore and renew his people through Samuel? Well, he begins with one thing: repentance.
