Although it had been under my nose for years, I didn’t recognize my passion until I was laid off in December of 2016. As I began sifting through HR Director job postings, I was surprised at the number of small businesses seeking an HR Director, but without sufficient budget for the right level of expertise. As a food nerd, prior restaurant GM and lover of hospitality, I believe strongly that businesses of all sizes deserve expert HR support, especially in today’s legal climate. I shifted my job search to small businesses -- my focus became offering them the knowledge, guidance, and peace of mind that they so often lack.
