This week Michael is back on the podcast, and makes Brent guess the movie based off it's 1-star review on Amazon. Then, Brent gets further into the 10 Key Truths to Understanding the “Whoever” Salvation that Jesus Provided he mentioned on Sunday:

  1. God does not will for any person to perish
    1. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. - Matthew 18:14
    2. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9
  2. God sent his Son to be the Savior of all people
    1. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
  3. God desires all people to be saved
    1. [God our Savior] who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. - 1 Timothy 2:4
  4. God purposes to show mercy to all people
    1. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. - Romans 11:32
  5. God is not partial in gifting his salvation to people
    1. So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality.” - Acts 10:34
  6. Jesus fully satisfied God’s wrath toward the sins of all people
    1. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. - 1 John 2:2 
  7. Jesus, through his crucifixion, is drawing all people to himself
    1. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself. - John 12:32
  8. Salvation by grace is available for all who believe
    1. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people - Titus 2:11
    2. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9
  9. God’s will and human will both play a part in salvation
    1. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not! - Luke 13:34
  10. A person can reject God’s purpose for their life
    1. ...but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him. - Luke 7:30
    2. Working together with him, then we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. - 2 Cor. 6:1
