On today’s program, we’ll begin a study based on the book of First Thessalonians. I’m sure you can recall a time in your life when you needed a little encouragement, and a friend or family member was right there to deliver those perfect words at the perfect time. That’s exactly Paul’s purpose for writing his first letter to the church in Thessalonica. He had several goals in mind and encouragement was on the list as we’ll see today. We’ll begin at the beginning, as we look at the first several verses of chapter one.
