The people can be forced to do things that are contrary to who they are. Today, people can be conscripted into the military, required to abide by local ordinances, and obligated to pay taxes for services they do not agree with. Not long ago, those of us living in British Columbia were required to wear masks in most public settings due to Covid-19, and to show a vaccine passport in more and more. Throughout Canada, our public health system - which all Canadians are required to pay for through their taxes - pays for abortions on demand and euthanasia. We haven't experienced conscription in my lifetime, but it could happen.
