Well if we're going to go technical affiliate marketing is a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays a commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from his referrals.

It is a relationship where you get paid to promote and sale others retailers products. You are the external website and the retailer is the person paying the money out.

Affiliate marketing, if it's done well, meaning it's done authentically and with transparency it can produce over a period of time a significant amount of income.
