Dive in with Chris and Andrew as we tackle the question, "what's the cost to follow Christ?" This is part one of a short two-part series on what Jesus meant when He says to "count the cost" before following Him. We look at passages from Luke chapter 14 and Matthew chapter 19.
Choosing to follow Jesus is no laughing matter. Salvation is by grace through faith and not something we can earn or atone for ourselves, but, having a relationship with Christ will cost us. In fact, it will cost us everything. In our eyes it may be expensive, but remember, we only see things from a worldly perspective. God has a plan for our stuff and our lives. Sure we may not understand what that plan may be in the moment, but we have faith that God is at work for our good.
But the conversation does not end here! Join us next week as we continue our conversation and dive into more scripture to find out what Jesus meant when He said we should "count the cost" by picking up our crosses daily and follow Him.
We would love to hear from you! Feel free to email us at [email protected], we would love to include some of your questions for us or just questions about the Bible or Christian life in general.
