Formerly an art historian, curator, and essayist on contemporary art based in Vancouver, BC, Avis Lang moved to New York City in 1983, where she turned herself into a freelance editor and adjunct lecturer in English. In 2002 she became the editor of Neil deGrasse Tyson's monthly column in Natural History magazine. Their coauthored book Accessory to War: The Unspoken Alliance Between Astrophysics and the Military appeared in 2018. Here Kenna discusses that book with Avis.
