Joint pain, whether it is caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, gout or post traumatic is one of the commonest presentation to both GPs and the Emergency Department. Worryingly, over the recent years this increase has included more young adults. Much of this can be attributed to the poor diet and lifestyle. Having tried all the pills and potions, patients then revert to considering dietary changes. Whilst cutting out the inflammatory foods such as refined sugars and dairy can be a great first step, what are some of the incredibly beneficial and tasty food you CAN EAT? Why not give the food medicine a try before jumping for that prescription? And always remember, the damage to your joints didn’t occur overnight, so give the repair a chance.
