Lili Riley has one of the more intense journeys with mental health that I’ve heard. Originally, I had interviewed her for my other podcast about a year and a half ago. Virtually overnight, her story jumped to the our top three most listened to episodes, where it has remained this entire time.
Lili graduated with a degree in social work from West Chester University, and has started pursuing her masters degree at Temple University.
She also completed a full Ironman in 2019. Now, I had to look that up to see what exactly an Ironman entails, and apparently it consists of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride, and a marathon 26.22-mile (42.20 km) run, done in that order. That’s no joke!
She’s also a certified personal trainer AND International rugby player, playing in the Italian premier league 2021 season (hopefully, if covid permits).
Also covid permitting, she’ll be moving to Barcelona in December to teach English!
I had so much fun getting to interview her. Lili is as humble and raw as they come, and it will be exciting to see what the future holds for her as she continues to selflessly contribute to the mental health space.
