Tim Fontenault is back for his second episode to discuss one of the most fun and meaningful UConn wins in history, the 2014 men's basketball team's epic Elite Eight win over Michigan State.
Coming into this game, UConn had already overcome incredible odds just to put itself into position to reach another Final Four. The Huskies had lost Hall of Fame coach Jim Calhoun to retirement two years earlier, were coming off a postseason ban due to prior academic issues and faced an uncertain future heading into the new American Athletic Conference era. Despite all of this, UConn had made it back to the tournament and upset the No. 2 and 3 seeds to set up a date with prohibitive favorite Michigan State at, where else, Madison Square Garden.
