10 insights into emotional intelligence

Ep #140 - Emotional intelligence makes the world go round and stops it in its tracks. Not everything I create, do, say, etc. is a touchdown. I have learned many hard lessons in life and while this list is not comprehensive it is a list that came from my subconscious this week - just when I needed it.

I believe if you listen and ask yourself when and where some, if not all, of these are cropping up in your life, you will find insights into your own behaviors you can then decipher as desirable or undesirable for yourself based on the life you are seeking to create.

This list was sparked by this statement made by the co-trainer of a NLP leadership course we are teaching together.

You don’t see the world the way it is, you see it the way you are.

Really drink that in for a bit and then dive into these 10 insights into emotional intelligence.

You give up what you want most, for what you want now

- if you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.

Create the world you want to live in around yourself first.

Tomorrow is done. Learn from it, Release it, bring on today. (yup meant yesterday)

I have wasted more time creating bullshit stories and scenarios in my head and trying to figure out how to solve them than I care to admit

Fearing rejection is creating a story in your head and then letting your imagination dictate your actions

Not every decision I made played out the way I thought it would - it wasn’t wasted time, it was experience points.

Waiting a year or two to feel ready is the hesitation that I will one day look back on and wonder…why?

- the, “everything happens for a reason and at the perfect time thing is cool and all but sometimes…**** man, get the **** up and do that thing!

I don’t know everything. I can’t. That’s okay. Only my ego gets pissed about that and **** that dude.

Just hit play and let's dive in with our open minds, hearts, and energies bringing everyone into the fold - you are in the right place, at the right time...right now.

It is time. It has been time. To live is to shine. Step into the SUN.
