Reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle. That's not only good planet stewardship but it's also a budget friendly way to live. Before you throw out what looks like trash, think if there are any unique and thrifty ways that you can reuse an item before it heads to a landfill. I've save a lot of money on other items simply by looking at things a little differently before they head for the garbage bin.
