1. Take some time to process.(pray, accept the feelings, get it out, don’t make this personal)
2. Ask about your last check.. When you will get it and how, paper, mail, etc.
3. Consider freelance work or temporary positions to tide you over until you find another full-time role.
4. Figure out your health insurance options. How long are you covered?
5. Ask for a recommendation letter.
6. Plan your job search steps.
7. Set up coffee dates with former colleagues.
8. Update your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.
9. Put the social media to work for you. People love to help. Ask for it.
10. Make a list of your key skills and start identifying gaps in your knowledge base (and how you can fill them).
