We have a lot of parents who tune into our podcast. This past year and as it already appears, this upcoming school year, hasn't been and won't be a walk in the park. Many of us have been along for the ride with our children with no choice but to watch them struggle through at-home learning. But what we come to find out from today's guest, is that a large part of that struggle wasn't just that we were taken from the routine we've been so well adjusted to. It's that we- us and our children- have grown reliant on a system that needs us to need it. 

Here with us today is Matt Beaudreau, founder of Acton Academy Placer, co-founder of Apogee Strong, generational keynote speaker, and a dedicated father. He's been working in the education system for over 14 years and after seeing things from the inside, he realized there needed to be a better option for his own children. He describes Acton Academy Placer as a workplace for kids where the students work on the things they're passionate about while upholding community standards of strong character.
