Until the mid 1980s programs presented news in a more objective manner. This stemmed from a Federal Regulation called the "Fairness Doctrine" which was repealed in 1987 & paved the way for the biased landscape we see today.   

Also, news media has not been forced to comply with the Fair Packaging & Labeling Act of 1967.

Should we demand regulations requiring more objectivity in News Media? 

Can we demand that News be "Fairly Labeled"?
