Re-broadcast! Going all the way back to the beginning we bring you some of my favourite conversations from The Modern Club Management podcast. Watch out for some new episodes coming soon.
Richard Pennell (LinkedIn) is currently the Membership Secretary at West Byfleet Golf Club and is the author of the “Stymied” blog on Substack - a project he embarked on in order “to put golf back where it belongs - a priority in my life”.
Prior to this Richard was the General Manager of Woking Golf Club for five years, following stints as the Deputy at both Royal Wimbledon and New Zealand. He is also a former greenkeeper, a golf architecture enthusiast, and an 11 handicap golfer.
In today's conversation we discuss how stoic philosophy and meditation can make you a; less reactive, more self-aware, and curious; person and manager. We discuss the common misconceptions around these two areas and how they've benefitted ourselves personally and professionally. If you would like to find out how spending only 10 minutes per day can improve your life then take a listen and find out!
