In the winter of 1953 dozens of dogs were slaughtered in a small town in North Carolina. Their bodies were found crushed and drained of blood at the edges of farms. After a few people spotted the beast lurking around their property the mayor of Bladenboro put out a call for hunters to find the creature. More than 1,000 men turned up looking to bag the beast of Bladenboro and add it's head to their hunting trophies.
