Text: Exodus 17:8-16 & 1 Samuel 17:45-47
With this continuation in the series on the Names of God, we considered two of God's Names that are associated with YHWH as Warrior. He is the Banner or rallying point for the armies and He is the Commander of Hosts. There is none that can stand against Him.
A statement was made in this sermon that was not completely true. In speaking of the fact that God is for everyone and that His only enemies are the Spiritual Forces of Wickedness, there was an overstatement. We can make ourselves an enemy of God, while God loves (and is for) every man, woman and child we can choose to be His enemy by rejecting Him.
