One of the unofficial mantras of Team KK and the work we do with women entrepreneurs is, We're not meant to do this alone.
We need each other, and we need a solid team we can depend on.
And perhaps nowhere is this more apparent than what goes into finding and hiring a Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Your COO is really your right-hand woman — the person who keeps things running, who makes hiring decisions, who handles all things team-related, who ensures that we are putting all the systems in place so that Team KK can grow and hopefully impact as many lives as possible in the process.
In short, she really is at the heart of what makes a strong team. You have to be able to trust her judgment, because the decisions she'll be making will affect everything.
It's a huge job with many spinning plates, and it requires a very unique skill set to be able to pull off well. Because the Chief Operations Officer has to have a lively combo of both hard and soft skills. She has to understand organization and project management. She’s got to be a clear communicator. She has to have a heart for people. And she’s got to be on board with the vision and mission of the team you're supporting.
If you've ever wondered What does a COO do? — well, the honest answer is "a bit of everything." Today we're going to dive in to get a clearer picture of Indira's indispensable team role and what makes a strong team that works well and efficiently together.
