Musicians Tip Jar

100. The Simple Secrets to Being a Wealthy Musician

Listen Later

Welcome to Musicians Tip Jar where we talk about musicians and money. Where we intend to live to 100 and still have the moves like Jagger.  I’m Chris Webb, joined by my co-host and the guy who’s got more moves than Dick Van Dyke, Dave Tamkin.

Episode mission/Overview:Speaking of Centennials, this is our 100th episode of the Musicians Tip Jar podcast!  Congrats Dave and a special thank you to all our listeners for your continued support of making this show successful.

We felt it appropriate to make today's episode about the true meaning of wealth.  We throw the word around a lot and felt it’s important that we clarify what it truly means to be a wealthy musician.
Today’s discussion is based on the eight forms of wealth by Robin Sharma in his book; “The Wealth money can’t buy.”  We break down his 8 pillars and apply them to our lives as musicians so we can improve our chances to live this one life to the fullest.

We spend so much time talking about money, how to make it and how to manage it.  These are very important skills to develop! But there is a bigger picture in the pursuit of happiness, of achieving true wealth.  Sharma’s 8 pillars are a fantastic organization of what makes up the foundation of living a rich life.  Lets go!
