Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris raped, tortured, and murdered at least five teenage girls. About a month ago I first heard of them. They were referenced in the Netflix series Mindhunter. I started reading and listening, and couldn't keep from getting really emotional. This case / these murders bothered me since I first learned of it, and I've read and heard a lot of terrible things, and most of them don't affect me like this—I can't think of another time such things led me to tears. It's probably because I imagine what it would've been like if one of my sisters, girlfriend, or any other women I love in my life were the victims.
A lot of what I read is what I wrote based on the sources—when I talk about their first offenses, it's basically taken directly from the First offenses section of the Wikipedia article listed below. Same can be said of their biographies.
