While Dustin and Mitchell are busy polishing off the game we'll do our normal episode on next week, please check out this interview with Remy Siu from Sunset Visitor about their game 1000xResist!
Sunset Visitor on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sunsetvisitor.studio
This was originally intended to be an episode of a new podcast that was, essentially, going to be a game-of-the-month club. Mitchell would sit down with a game developer every month and interview them about the game that we all spent the last month playing and thinking about. Unfortunately, for a bevy of reasons, the show was unable to be produced to the standard we would have liked. We were, however, granted an interview about 1000xResist before it was formally cancelled and thought it would be a shame if it couldn't see the light of day, so I'm hoping that listeners of the Telling the Tale podcast feed enjoy this one.
1000xResist is a beautiful game that should be a must-play for any fans of narrative adventure video games. Be warned that, while we don't go too heavy into spoilers, this conversation assumes the listener has played through the game. Also, there is a now-funny bit where we talk about how completely impossible it is to successfully release a game in an episodic fashion. Obviously Dispatch figured it out, but this was recorded prior to that.
Stay tuned for next week when Dustin and Mitchell come back for a regular episode to discuss Star Trek Resurgence!
