Notes:- Budget and give and God will help you out of debt- Our lives don't have to be affected by the economy; God provides- Seek first the kingdom of God... Get back to the scriptures- Zacheus met Jesus and first examined his generosity- When you look at Jesus everything else becomes trash- As God's people we should be taking care of each other's needs, not looking to the gov't or established church- Devil delights in bondage of debt, division in homes- People of Macedonia: affliction, joy, poverty, generosity... giving beyond their ability, gave themselves first to God- When you give yourself first to God problems with obedience solved- Manna... gather just enough. Don't operate in greed- Rich doesn't mean greedy. It's what you do with what you have- We live in poverty stricken faith; too much attention to the media- Give out of your need; He saved you to give it away- There is a proper and spiritual way to give: never thoughtless or demanded, grudgingly... give cheerfully- God supplies people's needs through other people- Men will give unto your bosom (folds of garment)- It's not about laying up treasures on earth; blessed to be a blessing
