On the October 5th, 2019 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, Notre Dame men's basketball team chaplain Fr. Pete McCormick is our guest on our Focus on Faith Segment. Fr. Pete is an avid sports fan who revamped the chaplain duties for men's basketball from a rotation of priests to a dedicated chaplain for the team throughout the season. He talks about what he feels his role is as team chaplain and his favorite moments watching from the bench. He also reflects on his journey to becoming a priest and shares a moving story from the basketball team's recent trip to California to attend the funeral of Rebecca Pflueger, the mother of Irish hoops star Rex Pflueger.
