Given the current climate our nation is in, we felt it best to dedicate our first episode to our favorite artists who exude black excellence and inspire us!  We also have a message from our dear friend Drew who shares his family's personal battle with having lost his brother to police brutality.  And we highlight the powerful words of Desiree Barnes whose message is to protest responsibly and the importance of voting!  We also discuss the amazing documentary written by Danielle Burrows & Ashlee Blackwell and directed by Xavier Neal-Burgin: "Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror," which highlights black horror films and the contribution of black artists to the horror genre; but also provides an in-depth look at the harmful propaganda Hollywood promotes against people of color using unfair and untrue tropes and caricatures.
