There is no “them”, there is only us. Deviciveness is not what God intended for creation.

Have you ever heard a sermon about how the big bad world is out to get you? Maybe you had a family member tell you how certain people are your enemy. Perhaps you have been hurt by someone and now certain things trigger you or cause you to push people away.

No matter the cause, divisiveness is one of the worst things that wreak havoc on our minds. We were created for community but division isolates us from each other which in turn isolates us from God.

This week we are talking about how to discover our triggers and overcome them so we can be in unity with each other. We discuss what triggers look and feel like, what causes them to take root in our minds, and how to disarm them. People are never the enemy and while healthy boundaries are good, unhealthy boundaries can hold us back. This episode is challenging but together, we can be brave.

* Allowing yourself to be put in someone else’s shoes
