  • What Are Your 10-10 Lifelines? | Kim Gaker

What are the habits and principles you come back to when life starts getting off track?

In What Are Your 10-10 Lifelines?, Kim Gaker shares the personal lifelines she uses to stay grounded physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. These aren't rules she claims to follow perfectly. They're reminders she returns to when she notices one area of life beginning to slip.

Kim starts with clarity, including an aspirational purpose statement centered around faith, joy, gratitude, love, vitality, peace, and using her time, talents, and resources to serve others. She then walks through the routines that help her maintain energy, productivity, influence, courage, movement, mood, nutrition, and overall wellness. 10-10 Living

She also gets candid about being vulnerable to depression and why movement, structure, spiritual devotion, sleep, nutrition, and intentional habits matter so much for her own mental well-being. Her point isn't perfection. It's noticing when something is pulling you away from the life you want and having something reliable to come back to. 10-10 Living

As you listen, don't just copy Kim's list. Ask yourself: What are your lifelines?

What consistently gives something back to your life, and what consistently takes something away?

  • Life to the Fullest According to Kim Gaker

What happens when the career, title, and identity that defined so much of your life suddenly change?

In this episode of 10:10 Living, Stacey sits down with her longtime friend Kim Gaker, whose story spans decades of leadership in the automotive industry, breaking barriers for women, losing her first husband to pancreatic cancer, becoming a business owner, adopting her daughter Catherine from Russia, finding love again, and eventually redefining her purpose in retirement.

Kim shares how she entered the automotive industry at a time when very few women held leadership positions, eventually taking full ownership of the dealership her husband left behind. But some of the biggest moments of her life happened outside the business world, including adopting Catherine as a single mother and later building a new family with Doug. 10-10 Living 10-10 Living

Now at 70, Kim calls this her “giving back season.” She opens up about the identity shift that came with retirement, continuing to dream, serving organizations she believes in, and learning to let go of always needing to be the one driving the carriage. 10-10 Living

Through it all, Kim comes back to gratitude, faith, purpose, and surrounding yourself with people who help you become who you're meant to be.

  • Seriously Funny Business for Living Fully | Dr. Doug Gaker

Can learning to laugh at life actually help you live it more fully?

In Seriously Funny Business for Living Fully, Stacey and Dr. Doug Gaker explore why humor has been one of Doug's greatest tools throughout his life. Doug says he processes almost everything through humor, and that perspective has helped him stay imaginative, navigate stress, connect with people, and bring laughter into some surprisingly difficult situations.

The conversation moves from hilarious real-life stories and childhood memories to something deeper: using laughter during grief, staying childlike through curiosity and wonder, and learning to step outside a situation long enough to see it differently.

If life has felt heavy lately, this episode may be the reminder you need to look for something worth smiling about.

What are the lifelines that keep your life grounded when everything else gets complicated?

In What Are Your 10-10 Lifelines?, Stacey asks Dr. Doug Gaker to share the principles he believes are foundational to living fully. Doug approaches the question like a mechanic diagnosing an engine: when something isn't working, break the system down, find the area that's out of alignment, and address it.

Stacey and Doug also explore John 10:10, eternity, and the idea that living fully doesn't mean reaching a perfect destination. It's about following a process that keeps God, purpose, generosity, and perspective in the right order.

As you listen, think about your own lifelines. What keeps you anchored when life gets difficult?
