In Mark 2:13-17, we see Jesus calling Levi the tax collector to "Follow Me". It is similar to His call of the disciples in the previous chapter in almost every way, but we also see Jesus going to Levi's house and dining with him. While this seems to be a simple gathering, it is actually quite the scandal, and a powerful illustration of both who Jesus was, what He came to do, and how the question, "Are you in need?" is essential in our following Him.
