On the show with us today is Heather Johnson. Over the past 10 years, Heather has dedicated her life to yoga and Ayurveda. She has delivered Ayurveda workshops across the United States and founded the Ayurveda Life School and Podcast that helps students to learn and apply the ancient health practices of Ayurveda. Heather tells me about something called doshas. Combining physical, psychological, and spiritual health, Ayurveda focuses on whole-body healing and states that a person’s dosha, a type of bodily humor, determines their personality and health.

“[Dosha] translates to that which is at fault. So it’s what creates our tendencies, like that tendency towards anger that I talked about, it’s the dosha. So sometimes my kids will say, ‘It’s my dosha’s fault.’ I’m like, it’s not your dosha’s fault! You have free will and free choice right now!” 16:02
