Life as a college athlete is similar to a dictatorship considering the fact that we don't have to think for ourselves. Many former student-athletes have no idea how to function independently.
Life after sport is often the first competition athletes find themselves totally unprepared for. They find themselves competing again people who have spent years preparing themselves for careers in tech and STEM while most athletes spent years preparing to win championships. We find ourselves playing catch up.
