Like so many people, Cris Eli Blak didn't know theatre was a career outside of school. In college he majored in Liberal Studies to get the broadest education and to help understand the widest range of human experience. He started playwriting by copying his idols such as Walt Disney, Shakespeare, August Wilson and Stephen Adly Guirgis. But it did not feel right. That is when he learned that no one could tell your story like you, and the best way to do it, is to just do it.
