Saul, in agony after trying to kill himself, cries out to a passerby to put him out of his misery...and he does. But would this guy be rewarded for extending mercy to the king? David doesn't think he should. Even in death, Saul is respected and honoured by David, a man he has tried to kill countless times. David also learns of his best mate's death and tears his clothes in anguish. A very emotional day for David, one which is set to propel him onto the throne, unless one of Saul's other sons claims it first...
