Gareth Morgan is a New Zealand economist and commentator on public policy who in previous lives has been in business as an economic consultant, funds manager, and professional company director.

In 2016 Gareth founded TOP - The Opportunities Party, a centrist political party based upon an idea of "evidence-based" policy. Gareth has since stepped aside from the party which continues without him.

Gareth is also an author and is known for his love of motorbikes...but not so much for cats ;)
