i had a dream last night
that i was sleeping
in a bed outdoors
in the middle of winter

it was snowing and i 
was surrounded by
douglas fir and pines
it was freezing cold

but i was warm

i wanted to stay there
forever in my bed as
snow continued to pile
high and slowly bury me

but i awoke to august
