We return to this week to the ever-present but never president, William Jennings Bryan. Early 20th Century America had just begin to flex her imperial muscles at the Spanish American War and beyond. But this would not be without controversy. The silver-tongued boy orator is back to argue that invading foreign countries and plundering their raw materials was somehow morally and politically objectionable. (The audacity of the man!) Listen in as we look into Bryan who once again finds himself on the losing side of an argument.
