Today we’re joined by Caitlyn Shadbolt.
Caitlyn is an Australian singer/songwriter from Gympie Qld who rose to fame after appearing on Australia’s ‘X Factor’ and placing 5th overall.
Caitlyn went on to secure a record deal with ABC Music and released her debut album ‘Songs on my sleeve’ in May 2017. Caitlyn was recognised for her achievements by winning the CMC Award for Best New Artist, along with a nomination for Female Artist of the Year.
On this episode we chat about her catapult into the music industry, being dubbed the ‘bogan Taylor swift’, and some of the challenges with being a female in the music industry.
