Well, it took a long time because it was an arduous task that was cathartic, but it was painful at the same time and there were times that I would put the book down for six months at a time or even a year, and say, "I can't do this." And my wife, God bless her, would always tell me, "If it's too difficult, don't do it." And she was my rock and still is and I said, "No. You know what, I have to do this. It's within me. I want this for my kids, for our kids when we have them."
