Everything you lack without them in your life, was never theirs to bring. It was planted on unstable ground.
Refuse to be bound in bitterness.
Instead, be intentional about waking up every morning and saying “God, teach me to do your will. Lead me on level ground. Don’t let me think thoughts of bitterness, anger, jealousy or insecurity. God, fill my heart with your love. if i’m seeking your will, great things are to come. if this person is not your will, I will gladly set it down and fix my eyes on you.”
Fill your voids with God.
Don’t clutter your spirit with distractions. Ask yourself what it is you run to when you feel upset. If it’s not Jesus, it’s a distraction to keep you in a vicious cycle of placing expectations on people that’t they can never live up to.
