Today, we travel through challenging and painful portions of 2 Samuel 11 and 12. Not only has David engaged in an adulterous act, but it was likely not entirely consensual. Maybe it included some of the worst forms of abuse. Amazingly, even here, we find our own lives represented in the text. Jesus meets us in our worst moments, offering healing for the abused, providing forgiveness, and change for the abusers.
