11-23-25 “Stand Firm on Christ the King” by Pastor Glen Schlecht

Listen Later

On this last Sunday of the Church Year, we celebrate Christ the King Sunday. The end of each church year typically touches on end times. We’ll take that focus based on Jesus’ words in the Gospel reading from Luke 21. He offers us so much direction and wisdom and love, all of which flow so contrary to the messages our world tells us that are filled with fear, anxiousness, uncertainty, and worse. Jesus’ radical message to us is intended to help us keep our focus on what is important and on who we have been called to be as His people.

Old Testament Reading: Jeremiah 23:1-6
Epistle Reading: Colossians 1:11-20
Gospel Reading: Luke 21:5-19
Sermon Title: “Stand Firm on Christ the King”
