What happens when your rock solid faith meets a reality that doesn't bend to it? 

This is the story of my husband’s deep depression after his amputation and the crisis of faith it triggered in us both. We were the quintessential devoted Christians, praying, tithing, serving and he truly believed his leg would grow back by a miracle of God. When it did not, his grief turned into a deep depression masked by spiritual warfare and scripture. 

In this episode , we wade into the painful feelings of divine abandonment, give ourselves permission to be furious at God, and discover the ancient, biblical practice of lament as a prayerful pathway through our darkest hours.
