Some may quite often say phrases like, family first, family over everything, family is all we got, and blood is thicker than water. And many of us live by these beliefs even if it means putting one’s own feelings, safety, and peace of mind to the side. In this episode I am encouraging us to create healthy boundaries when needed and explore the idea that family is what you make it and it doesn’t always have to require a shared bloodline.
