College for the Culture

11. Let's Get Local ft. Richard Rutherford

Listen Later

Politics is not just a November conversation, its an everyday conversation! We are always told to vote in general elections and although that is very important many people often forget the amount of change that can happen on the local level. To discuss this I have the amazing Richard Rutherford, a Black college student who is a part of BSU of CUNY and Persist Brooklyn which empowers communities through civic engagement and fights misinformation in media. We talk about American politics in 2021, if politicians have BIPOC's interests at heart, and what we can do to improve the quality of life in our local communities.
